paradiso – col campeggia
The second Hike for the pilots registered in the PRO category, is about 7 km long , goes through Valle Santa Felicita and requires an altitude gain of about 900m+ to reach the take-off area of Col Campeggia (altitude 1109 m a.s.l.).
From the landing “Paradiso” to valle santa felicita
From the “Paradiso” landing area, follow the road that goes north, along the west side of the landing field. When you reach the T-junction with the ‘STOP’ sign, continue on the road heading towards west. You will reach another T-junction, turn right (direction:north), to quickly reach the beginning of Valle Santa Felicita, where you will find the Restaurant “Antica Abbazia”.
FROM VALLE SANTA FELICITA TO “COL CAMPEGGIA” TAKE OFF
From the gravel car park of the restaurant, go north on the slightly sloping road for about 1km until you reach, the area of the climbing walls. Leave the paths no. 952-953 on your left, and continue to walk north until you reach the path no 954 which climbs up. After a couple of km, at an altitude of 900 meters, you will find a crossing dirt road, cross it and proceed on the mountain path on the opposite side for 700 meters more. After a few hairpin bends and about 100 meters altitude, gain you will finally reach the take-off of Col Campeggia. Look up right and you will spot the windsock!
